The said project is a senior independent living facility which will have 79 rooms in a scenic lake view location of Lake Havasu City. In spite of the intense heat which reached 100 degrees, racers and spectators alike at Willow Springs International Raceway were all high as they cheered for the 11 teams competing for SoCal Spec E30 race series.

Steve Stepanian, who was sponsored by Jim Stepanian of Summerlin Asset Management, had a bad start as he lost his second gear. He was able to regain his footing, though.
